WAN

Wide Area Network
A computer network that spans a relatively large geographical area. Typically, a WAN consists of two or more local-area networks (LANs). Computers connected to a wide-area network are often connected through public networks, such as the telephone system. They can also be connected through leased lines or satellites. The largest WAN in existence is the Internet.

Website

World Wide Web
A website (alternatively, Web site or web site) is a collection of Web pages, images, videos and other digital assets that is hosted on a Web server, usually accessible via the Internet or a LAN. A Web page is a document, typically written in HTML, that is almost always accessible via HTTP, a protocol that transfers information from the Web server to display in the user's Web browser.
All publicly accessible websites are seen collectively as constituting the "World Wide Web". The pages of websites can usually be accessed from a common root URL called the homepage, and usually reside on the same physical server. The URLs of the pages organize them into a hierarchy, although the hyperlinks between them control how the reader perceives the overall structure and how the traffic flows between the different parts of the sites.

Web Design

Web design defines the development of media rich content (usually hypertext or hypermedia) that can be viewed by the end-user via the World Wide Web, Intranet or other similar platforms by using a Web browser or other Web-enabled software. The web design content is served via a range of server hosting options that distribute the content on demand.,This content may include text, images, Adobe Flash, sounds and dynamically driven content (such as databases).
